......Before Janet left the Door, she felt that she and others who started the Door, were there to build the foundation, and that Bev was the one to build the walls. Bev has certainly done that. Programs run at the Door every day from Monday to Friday, however, we are only able to be open one evening (Friday) for drop in due to a lack of volunteers. |

| ......We enjoy a very eclectic life here at The Door. Our after school “open door” program encourages youth to drop in for homework help, tutoring or just to share their day. Friday night drop in from 7 to 10 p.m. regularly sees 25 to 35 teens, between 12 and 17 years, building relationships with trained & caring volunteers, while playing pool, ping pong, foosball, basketball, watching movies, or just “hanging out” in a safe non-judgmental environment. Weekly group Bible study is available for all who wish to attend as well as school support, court & probation advocacy, and one to one counseling. Our youth planning committee is responsible for outings, including Wonderland, ball games, car shows, and the building of our float for the annual festival parade. |
